Frame Rates vs. Flicker
Cameras shoot at specific frame rates (24, 30, 60 frames per second), while many traditional light sources flicker due to the alternating current (AC) powering them. If the frequency of the light’s flicker doesn’t sync with the camera’s frame rate, it results in unwanted flickering or banding effects in the footage.
